Before..... During..... After..... Happy days! This was great fun. The energy and excitement in the room was almost tangible. What was particularly lovely about this session is the adults were getting into it just as much as the children. Everyone was coloured in!

Just got this delivered for Weaving Walls next week at Norwich Puppet Theatre!
Another gorgeous session at Norwich Puppet Theatre playing with line. These sessions are as much about the children playing as the parents. I am really lucky to have some amazingly creative parents who love getting stuck in and playing too... such a joy to watch!
In the lovely Octagon space of the puppet theatre in Norwich; using lights, shadows, dens and of course teddies, we created a wonderful world for animals to play. Some of us even became animals!
My kitchen at home was basically emptied for this session at Norwich Puppet Theatre. Things we discovered were: paella pans make a surprisingly pleasant noise when bashed with a wooden spoon, washing up sponges are fabulous to bounce on lycra and tuppaware makes great towers! After all the mess that was created we made kitchen helpers to help us tidy up.
Love this picture (above) taken by Libby Waite, the Marketing officer at Norwich Puppet Theatre. This is BEFORE everyone arrives. I like making the spaces enticing and curious, without being precious about it. Once everyone was in and got started, there was a very industrious atmosphere. Everybody was busy exploring, making, creating and playing. We transformed the rows of boxes into a bustling city with roads, traffic lights, car parks, railways and volcanoes (!?) A lovely way to end the year off with Little Tots at Norwich Puppet Theatre. I created a fancy dress emporium for children and parents to explore. Full of hats, dresses, cloaks, sunglasses and a whole van load of random fancy dress items! There was a photo booth to record the costumes and a party with balloons to finish up with. It was a blast! Looking forward to the next sessions coming up in the new year. Thank you NPT for inviting me back!
So many magic moments from yesterday's Planet UV at Norwich Puppet Theatre. Watching two brothers playing with shredded paper for nearly half an hour was well worth the spectacular art installation called "Mess" that was created as result of these children playing! Pictures from today's session at Norwich Puppet Theatre. I really think we could have carried on playing all day!
